Clubs provide diversified activities that meet the
interests of all young people. The core programs
encourage activities with adults, peers, and family
members that enable kids to enhance self-esteem and
fulfill their potential. Based on the physical,
emotional, cultural and social needs and interest of
boys and girls, and recognizing developmental
principles, our Clubs offer diversified program
activities in five main areas:Character &

The Arts
We enable young people to develop their creativity and cultural
awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual, tactile, and
performing arts.

We develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress
management, appreciation for the environment, and social and
interpersonal skills.

Additional Programs
Club Tech – A partnership with Microsoft to develop
technology programs that give Club members basic computer skills and
introduce them to advanced skills levels. Club Tech also includes extensive
training for Club staff.
Gang Prevention / Intervention Through Targeted Outreach –
By identifying and reaching out to the youth most at risk and
inviting them to be a part of our Clubs we can show them
alternatives to the negative opportunities presented to them in
their neighborhoods and communities. This program is sponsored by
the U.S. Department of Justice.
Family Support – With funding from The Annie E. Casey
Foundation we host family oriented activities and programs to
encourage family connection and cohesion.
Hispanic Outreach – The goal is to work with individual
families to identify and meet their educational, counseling and
social services needs through a customized plan utilizing a referral
network. Sears is the primary sponsor of this program.
Youth for Unity – In conjunction with The Allstate
Foundation, this program seeks to educate young people across the
country about the importance of tolerance and diversity.
Our programs are additionally supplemented by partnerships with Junior Achievement, Boy and Girl Scouts,
Big Brothers / Big Sisters, Kids Café – Food Bank, and 4 – H.
