In the spirit of giving OLLU presents gift to Boys and Girls Clubs of San Antonio
San Antonio -- December 15, 2005

The Boys and Girls Clubs of San Antonio received $2,000 from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). This is the second year that OLLU donates money that would normally be used for printing and postage to a non-profit organization in lieu of sending out Christmas cards.

“Many of our own University students spent their formative years at the Boys and Girls Club’s West Side branch and they remain close to this important family support system through their volunteer work there," said OLLU President Tessa Martinez Pollack, PhD. "Our Christmas greetings this year were directed to the Club for all they do to build the values and character of the future leaders of our community."

Boys and Girls Clubs of San Antonio Executive Director Jim Watson added, “The University has been a very good neighbor of our organization. Over the years, numerous OLLU students have volunteered with a big heart. Getting this donation today just extends that support.”
