Second
Art Event to Benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of San
Antonio
Web Head Group sponsoring event as a Birdies for
Charity® fundraiser
San Antonio, Sept 18, 2007 San Antonio art aficionados
again will have the opportunity to bid for works by
local artists and support a worthwhile cause at the
opening event for "An Art Auction," on Friday, Oct. 5,
from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the historic Friedrich
building, located at 1617 East Commerce. Proceeds from
this unique live and online charity event will benefit
The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio.
The artwork includes an array of paintings,
photography, ceramics and other media, and will be
auctioned off beginning at 6:30 p.m. (See a partial list
of featured artists at the end of this press release.)
In addition to the auction, which begins at 6:30 p.m.,
the event will feature musical entertainment by Dj Knos,
hors d'oeuvres by West Ave. Kitchen and a cash bar. The
evening, which is being hosted by the technology firm,
Web Head Group, is free and open to the public.
This event is a follow-up to the first "An Art
Auction”, held Aug. 3 at the Web Head Group. Since then,
additional artworks have been solicited. Artists receive
75 percent of the proceeds from their art sales, while
the remaining 25 percent is donated to the Boys & Girls
Clubs of San Antonio. Pledges and donations to support
the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Antonio may be made
online as well at
anart.webheadgroup.com.
"Our first art auction, held in August, and the
interim online art auction, was a success," said Janie
Martinez Gonzalez, CEO and president of Web Head Group.
"We are pleased to offer the San Antonio community a
second opportunity to purchase beautiful art pieces by
local artists and support such a worthwhile organization
as the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio,"

About Birdies for Charity®
Birdies for Charity® allows donors to select a charity
to support through a variety of fundraising campaigns.
Individuals or corporations can make pledges, make flat
minimum donations, and participate in other contests
that raise money to directly help charities. One hundred
percent of any pledge or donation received through "An
Art Auction" goes back to the Birdies for Charity®
organization, which in turn directly benefits the Boys
and Girls Clubs of San Antonio.
About the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio
